• dried pinto beans • vegetable oil • ground beef • onion chopped • bell pepper • garlic  • Mexican chili powder • dried oregano • cumin powder

• cocoa powder • salt or to taste • black pepper powder • cayenne pepper • beef broth • diced tomatoes • masa harina

saute ground beef

Add ground beef to the inner pot. Saute until meat is browned, about 3 minutes. Break up meat.

saute Vegetables

Add chopped onions to the beef and saute until soft. Stir in bell peppers. Stir in garlic.

add spices

Add spices. Stir well and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to burn the spices.

add broth, tomato, beans

Add beef broth, tomatoes, and beans. Make sure there's nothing stuck on the bottom of the Instant Pot.

pressure cook

Pressure cook the chili and do a natural release of pressure after cooking is complete. Open the lid.

Add masa harina

Add the masa harina and stir thoroughly. Heat through until the chili is thick enough to your tastes.
