With hearty beef and turmeric-spiced coconut milk, this flavor-packed Instant Pot Beef Curry recipe is classic comfort food with an Indian twist. 

I made this tonight almost exactly as the directions say. In fact just perfect. I love soup. Will be a family favorite.

INGREDIENTS

- vegetable oil - beef stew meat - onion  - garlic  - ginger  - jalapeno - beef broth

- salt  - black pepper - turmeric  - steak sauce - carrots  - potatoes  - coconut milk  - cilantro

saute Beef

Working in batches, sear beef until browned on all sides, stirring frequently. Remove beef and set aside.

saute onion mixture

Add onions, garlic, ginger, jalapenos and stir well. Deglaze as needed if it sticks.

saute spices

Add the salt, pepper, turmeric, and A1 steak sauce. Stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.

add broth and beef

Stir in the broth and make sure there are no brown bits stuck to the bottom of the pot. Stir in reserved beef.

pressure cook

Pressure cook the beef and do a quick release of pressure after cooking is complete. Open the lid.

Add the vegetables

Stir in the carrots and potatoes. Pressure cook and do a quick release of pressure. Open the lid.

garnish

Add the coconut milk, heat through on Saute mode and stir in cilantro. Serve with crusty bread or rice
